[Women's Cross Country] Lady Cavaliers run well at Winthrop XC InvitePublished by
The Lady Cavaliers continue to improve this season by finishing third behind NCAA D-I Furman and Winthrop Universities. Montreat managed to score 79 points behind team champion Furman University (18 pts) and runner-up Winthrop University (62 pts). Montreat was once again led by three-time national qualifier Talisa Bishop. Bishop completed the 4K course in 12th place (15:55). She was followed by the freshman duo of Lindsay Mizok (16th/16:06) and Elisabeth Elliott (17th/16:11). "The girls are coming along well. They have the potential to have great spring track seasons if they continue to work as they have been. They're focused on the conference meet, and their pack continues to impress me," said Coach Larios. "Kayla Suiter came through for us. Had this been a five kilometer race, she would've had a great personal best today." Read the full article at: www.montreatcavaliers.com
