Senior Chris Stafford (Dutch Fork High School, SC) has signed a Letter of Intent to compete for the Cavalier's cross country and track program next year. Stafford brings stellar credentials and stands as one of the Cavalier's top recruits for the upcoming year. As a high school junior, Stafford posted times of 4:26 over 1600 meters and 9:44 over 3200 meters, and his time of 4:35 at the South Carolina Outdoor Track and Field State Championships was good enough for 7^th place overall in the 4A division. As a senior, Stafford ran a personal best 5K cross country time of 15:29, and broke the 16:00 barrier on four separate occasions.
