Georgia head track and field coach Petros Kyprianou and the Bulldogs’ throws coach Don Babbitt will each be presenting at the annual U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Convention in San Antonio, Texas, on Dec. 15-18.

Georgia has a lot of volunteer coaches, who like interns are working for free while gaining valuable knowledge and experience

As they surge into the 2015-16 school year, Georgia’s track and field teams will do so with four former Olympians added as volunteer coaches.

Former volunteer assistant coach Javonie Small has been named the Director of Operations for Georgia’s track and field teams, according to an announcement from Bulldog head coach Petros Kyprianou.

Current Bulldog senior Maicel Uibo finished in the top 10 during the decathlon competition of the recent IAAF World Championships in Beijing to highlight a spectacular 2015.

Eight current or former Georgia track and field team members are expected to compete at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing from Saturday, August 22 to Sunday, August 30.
